Finance Intern
The Payroll Assistant Intern receives documents and forms and maintains employee records in the ERP/Payroll system. The role also provides general payroll support to the weekly payroll process and monthly union remittances.
Coordinate with field management staff to collect, review, and save union new hire paperwork. Ensure information is complete and accurate, following up on any issues or missing information.
Document Social Security verifications in employee master file.
Verify union I-9 forms have been completed according to government regulations and documented in the ERP system. Follow up with field management staff on any errors or inconsistencies.
Create union employee records in ERP system. Ensures demographics, union details, and project assignment data is correct and complete.
Submit new hire reports to state agencies.
Update employee records as needed including personal data, withholdings, assignment transfers, and severance or termination information. Request missing severance notices for union employees no longer employed by AZCO to ensure ERP employee list is as accurate.
Respond to and resolve union employee payroll inquiries.
Provide support to payroll team as needed during weekly processing and monthly union remittances.
