Jr. Quant Research Analyst


Getting To Know The Opportunity:

This role is a part of our Voya Investment Management Entry Level Program. This program, which will begin in July 2025, is designed to develop the careers of entry level employees and provide you with the unique opportunity to begin your investment career while gaining hands-on experience and on-the-job development and training.  The Analyst will be a member of both the Global Rates and Money Markets teams and will be responsible for supporting Portfolio Management and Trading activities. The role will have broad exposure across money markets and global rates including rate derivatives, directly supporting portfolio managers as they execute within markets in support of client mandates. The role will offer substantial, broad ranging exposure in dynamic markets but require attention to detail, strong communication skills, eagerness and flexibility and in working closely with investment professionals in different capacities. Please Note: This position has been designated as a hybrid-office/home role. Details of your in-office schedule will be finalized with your manager.

 

The Contributions You'll Make:

Work within the Money Market group to support execution trades and the investment process.

Work within global rates group to support execution trades and the investment process.

Work within a collaborative team environment to further support overall investment process and promote efficiency wherever possible. 

Coordinate money market approved lists with IG credit analysts.

Other duties as assigned

 

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

Applicants should be graduating with an undergraduate degree in December 2024/Spring 2025.

Strong academic standing (GPA of 3.5 or higher preferred) and a 4-year undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related field; willingness to pursue a CFA designation.

Passionate about a career in financial services and investments.

Excellent analytical and data skills.

Strong oral and written communication skills.

Solid planning & organization skills.

Team player, positive attitude, eager to learn in a supporting role.

Problem solving and analytical skills; ability and aptitude for spreadsheet functionality.

Solid PC skills including Python, SQL (or other database related skill) and Microsoft Excel.
