Staff Accountant
As our nationwide growth accelerates, our Accounting team at our Corporate HQ in Mechanicsburg, PA plays a key role in driving forward our mission of Bringing Happiness to Every Home® by developing, tracking, and optimizing the marketing strategy for each branch in your region.
As a Staff Accountant at West Shore Home®, you will contribute to this mission by developing strategic budget and growth plans for the branches that you oversee. You will report directly to the Controller or Assistant Controller and work closely with the rest of the Accounting team.
What You’ll Contribute
- Participate in closing accounting books monthly (5 business day goal) and prepare applicable journal entries accurately
- Preform general ledger account analysis and monthly account reconciliations
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analysis
- Identify trends and prepare reports that guide in financial strategies and goals
- Assist in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting
What It Takes To Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA preferred but not required
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Comfortable learning and working with new systems
