Youth Psychologist
Location: On-Site, multiple locations near Richmond, VA
Hours: 10-20 hours / week. (Wednesday and another day)
Salary: Negotiable (Hourly)
Commute: This position requires commute (paid hour and reimbursable mileage).
Responsibilities: We are seeking a licensed Youth Psychologist to provide counseling and psychological assessments to the youth population. This role involves delivering in-person services (on-site service is required. Some telehealth services are available on as needed basis). The ideal candidate will have experience in youth mental health, crisis management, and strong documentation skills.
- Services include intake assessments, individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, consultation, and case management.
- Conduct psychological evaluations and screenings, including but not limited to:
- Assessments of symptomology, cognitive functioning, achievement, and personality.
- Submit written reports within established timeframes.
- Intake reports, progress notes, treatment plans, psychological testing reports, and discharge summaries.
Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Psychology License (VA)
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Valid Driver License and Comfortable with Commute
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field.
- State licensure to provide psychological services.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (mandatory).
- Experience providing mental health services to youth and families.
- Knowledge of psychological assessments and evaluations.
- Familiarity with electronic health records and case documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Legal to Work in the United States and be able to pass background check and screening.
