2025 College World Series of Omaha, Inc. Spring Internship

College World Series of Omaha, Inc. (CWS, Inc.) is seeking an enthusiastic individual for the Spring Internship for the 2025 NCAA® Men’s College World Series®. 

CWS, Inc. is a non-profit organization incorporated in 1967 and the local organizing committee of the Men’s College World Series. Its mission is to enlist community support for the Men’s College World Series from local area businesses, government, civic organizations, and individuals.

This is an internship opportunity for college students and recent graduates to help gain working experience in this field. This position starts on January 27, 2025, and ends on Wednesday, June 25. Dates can be flexible if needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with CWS, Inc., NCAA, and Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority (MECA) staff leading up to and during the event.
  • Assist CWS, Inc. staff with preparations for the Diesing Hospitality Room, Fan Experience initiatives, Team Hosts, Season Ticket Holders, and 75th Anniversary marketing activations.
  • Assists in interviewing CWS, Inc. Event Interns.
  • Communicate and assist Season Ticket Holders and fans with ticketing, parking, and other event matters via phone, email, and virtual assistant platforms.
  • Collaborate with CWS, Inc., NCAA, and MECA for game operations, promotions, and marketing purposes.
  • Create and update materials and manuals for Team Hosts and various fan communication documents.
  • Assist with the application and selection of National Anthem/Color Guard personnel.
  • Participate in Fan Fest, Open Practice Day, Game Presentation, and Marketing planning meetings and calls.
  • Explore new and engaging fan experiences, as well as marketing and grassroots initiatives.
  • Work with NCAA vendors to coordinate ordering and distribution of apparel and other event-related items.
  • Execute projects, assignments, general administrative duties, and other duties as assigned by the staff.

Qualifications:

  • On track to receive or recently received a degree in a related field (Business, Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, etc.) plus relevant work experience.
  • Strong creative skills (contribute ideas and different perspectives).
  • Knowledge of the game of baseball and/or working in other sporting events.
  • Ability to adapt, multi-task, and work as a team under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze, problem-solve, and provide recommended solutions.
  • Excellent written and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work outside of traditional business hours from time to time.

This internship is intended for upperclassmen or graduate students looking to gain non-profit and/or sports industry work experience. You will be required to relocate to Omaha, NE for the duration of the internship. Room and board are not offered as part of the position. CWS, Inc. staff will work with the selected applicant to find housing, if necessary.
