Major duties include but is not limited to:
- Identify and kill non-native plants occurring in Geroge Washington Memorial Parkway.
- Hold a Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Pesticide Applicator Certificate, Category 2 Forest Pest Control and Category 8 Public Health Pest Control, license and know which herbicides to use to kill woody and herbaceous non-native plants.
- Safely lead team of two bio-techs to assist with fieldwork of killing invasive non-native plant species.
- Map treated areas using Global Positioning System (GPS)/Geographic Information System (GIS).
- The position will require strenuous physical activity including periods of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting and carrying heavy objects in all weather conditions (extreme heat and cold).
- Ensure team is supplied with all equipment needed for work. Track team's time and attendance.
