In-home Care Giver

We can provide training for skills you don't have. Our clients need a variety of different services from personal care to companionship to homemaking, and even specialized dementia care. Some our clients come through Hospice organizations and need love and support at the end of life. We are driven by the relationships we build with our clients and their loved ones, as well the relationships we build with our employees.
Duties
- Follow a clear, written personal care plan for each client
- Potentially assist with bathing, grooming, toileting/incontinence care, and dressing with possible transfers from bed to wheelchair
- Perform light housekeeping duties, including cleaning and laundry
- Provide general companionship care to our clients, including conversation and engagement
- Provide transportation to appointments and assist with miscellaneous errands
- Provide oral and written communication to the office or family regarding needs or concerns of the client or family
- Ensure compliance with company policies, standards, training, and meetings
- Interact professionally with other staff, family, doctors, and agencies
Qualifications
- Ability to work with physically or mentally impaired clients, possibly having a form of dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and pivot
- Ability to read, hear, speak, and write clearly in English to communicate both on the phone and in person
- Ability to communicate with others effectively and professionally with a high degree of sensitivity and respect, in timeliness, attire, policies, and procedures and in words and actions
- Ability to perform simple household tasks, cooking/meal prep, feeding, bathing, and personal care services and activities related to daily living
- Experience with care giving or as a home health aide preferred
- Current driver’s license, insurance, and good driving record
- Minimum of high school degree or equivalent, and be at least 18 years old
- Willingness to learn new skills and work independently and in cooperation with others
