As an Associate Personnel Analyst, you will:
- Make decisions and provide advice and assistance on varied and difficult personnel matters that impact the Department's personnel management program and its ability to carry out its assigned program.
- Conduct classification, pay, staffing and organizational studies.
- Assist in developing and overseeing applications examinations process.
- Conduct audits of personnel programs and/or processes to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
- Study various personnel operating procedures to correct problems, streamline processes, incorporate changes, etc.
Associate Personnel Analyst Requirements:
All Applicants must take and pass the Staff Services Analyst OR Associate Governmental Program Analyst Exam prior to applying (please read exam “minimum qualifications” to determine which exam to take):

Work Experience Requirement:
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in technical personnel work, at least one year of which shall have been with independent responsibility for analyzing and recommending decisions on difficult personnel problems
OR
- Three years of progressively responsible technical experience administrative or budget analysis, socioeconomic research or some other field which has developed a broad and comprehensive knowledge of personnel management.
Education Requirement:
- Equivalent to graduation from college. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for a maximum of four years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.)
