Job Duties

Motor Fleet Coordinator Specialist Position Overview

Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities (OOD) is seeking a dedicated Motor Fleet Coordinator Specialist to support our mission by driving and maintaining our Mobile Services Unit, bringing essential services to underserved and hard-to-reach areas across the state. This role requires collaboration with a variety of teams, including Vocational Rehabilitation professionals, IT, Communications, and event coordinators, to ensure successful event execution. This position does not offer a hybrid schedule and will require significant travel – sometimes outside of standard office hours, including weekends.  The selected candidate must provide a valid driver’s license and pass a driving assessment.

Motor Fleet Coordinator Specialist Duties

•    Safely transport the Mobile Services Unit to events across Ohio
•    Set up and tear down equipment required for each event
•    Perform routine maintenance and upkeep of the Mobile Services Unit, ensuring it remains fueled, clean, and well-maintained (oil changes, general servicing, etc.)
•    Manage and operate onboard and external generators providing power to the unit
•    Visit OOD field offices during events to provide customer support and manage fleet vehicles
•    Run fleet utilization reports and review anomalies with supervisor
•    Maintain inventory within the Mobile Services Unit and communicate needs with appropriate agency divisions.
•    Maintain the unit’s schedule using Outlook Calendar and communicate effectively with other Facility Management team members
•    Assist Space Planners and the Inventory Control Specialist with agency projects and tasks.

A Successful Motor Fleet Coordinator Specialist has

•    Proven ability to drive and maneuver large vehicles safely
•    Physical capacity to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
•    General knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety practices
•    Ability to develop & maintain relationships with internal and external customers
•    Flexibility to travel frequently and adapt to a dynamic work schedule

This position shall be filled in accordance with the provisions of the OCSEA Collective Bargaining Agreement. Qualifications

2 courses or 6 months' experience in record keeping/inventory control AND 3 courses or 9 months' experience in basic auto repair or maintenance.
