Risk Modeling Intern
The Risk Modeling Summer Internship role helps develop, analyzes, reports, and/or evaluates loss forecasting models and their underlying processes. The Internship will provide the intern with an opportunity to gain a stronger understanding of Risk Management within the Financial Services industry. They’ll be part of a diverse team of talented professionals who interact with senior risk team personnel, business managers and other disciplines in order to understand business operations and dynamics, and analyze, monitor, and manage related risks. Activities will include quantitative analysis & communication across different functions. Represent or support the reputation of the company to minimize compliance and regulatory risk by resolving issues and ensuring adherence to company standards.
This 2025 Summer Internship is for graduate students who have an anticipated graduation date between December 2025 and May 2026.

Essential Functions:
Some responsibilities of the Risk internship role may include but are not limited to:
- Supports the Risk Modeling team to develop loss forecasting models for different regulatory exercises.
- Participates in the design and evolution of the Company's existing suite of stress test forecasting models.
- Monitors and reports on management of projects and third party engagements for team in accordance with Corporate project management policies
- Researches and maintains regulatory requirements and publications relevant to model risk
- Prepares and reviews independent model validation reports for clarity and consistency.
- Manages the overall quality control process of model development and validations.
- Monitors and reports on management of projects and third party engagement for team.
- Documents, communicates, and incorporates risk modeling analysis as needed.
- Analyzes and documents the risk modeling results for a wide range of internal and external audiences including senior management and regulators.
- Evaluates the strengths and weaknesses of existing controls and provides recommendations on opportunities for improvement.

Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a graduate program in a quantitative field at a University or College
- Expected graduation date between December 2025 – May 2026
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00
- Expertise in delivering high quality work products, reflecting attention to detail and analytical process
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with senior leaders across departments
- Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts, including global business and regulatory matters
- Ability to adjust to new developments/changing circumstances
- Self-directed, self-motivated and demonstrated experience providing ideas and solutions to further business understanding
- Ability to work in an environment that supports employees from all backgrounds and fosters an environment of inclusion.
Working Conditions:
- Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs
- Travel to multiple facilities may be required
- May be required to lift, push, or pull materials weighing up to twenty (20) pounds
- May be required to sit and review information on a computer screen for long periods of time
- May require repetitive motions of the hands and wrist related to writing and typing at an electronic keyboard

Working Conditions: Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking. The base pay range for this position is posted below and represents the annualized salary range. For hourly positions (non-exempt), the annual range is based on a 40-hour work week. The exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, training, licensure and certifications and location.
