Soil Conservation Technician

Minnesota Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is hiring!  We are currently looing for applicants who want to join the conservation field as a Soil Conservation Technician.

Main duties of of this position include:

  • Provides information to farmers, ranchers and other rural residents on the kind of assistance available from NRCS and other USDA agencies.
  • Assists with conducting engineer surveys to design mechanical practices to be utilized in conservation planning.
  • Advises landowners on eligibility prerequisites and conditions that must be satisfied to qualify for program acceptance and payments.
  • Provides technical support to conservation planners in resource planning by utilizing survey tools and planning software.

This announcement is location negotiable within the state of Minnesota to the following cities ONLY.  Alexandria, Bagley, Baudette, Bemidji, Blue Earth, Caledonia, Dodge center, Glenwood, Litchfield, Little Falls, Mankato, Marshall, McIntosh, Morris Olivia, Ortonville, Thief River Falls, Virginia, Warren, Windom, and Worthington.
