Senior Field Recruiter

RES

RES is looking for a Senior Field Recruiter, based out of our Brodhead, WI or Milwaukee, WI, offices, to look after our field ecological restoration recruitment needs.

The mission: RES is a leader in ecological restoration and water quality solutions. We are committed to restoring and enhancing ecosystems across the United States, with projects that range from wetland and stream restoration to sustainable water management and conservation initiatives. Since we are a full delivery company, we hire people across all the disciplines involved in project delivery, and field staff is one of the crucial elements for project delivery. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will be taking over all field-related recruitment activities, concentrated mainly in our Midwest and Northeast regions. You will play a crucial part in building strong relationships with hiring managers and understanding the unique requirements of our field operations.

What your day-to-day might look like?

  • Talent Acquisition: Identify and recruit top talent for field positions, focusing on restoration technicians and operators, field crew and solar positions. This includes sourcing candidates, conducting interviews, and managing the hiring process from start to finish.
  • Field Engagement: Frequently visit field sites across Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, and occasionally across Pennsylvania and Ohio, to build rapport with hiring managers and gain a deeper understanding of the specific needs and challenges of our field teams. This hands-on approach will ensure that you can effectively match candidates with the right opportunities.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and hiring managers. Your goal is to understand their staffing needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions.
  • Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience by providing timely feedback, clear communication, and a seamless hiring process. Your efforts will help to attract and retain top talent in the industry.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive practices, and market conditions to provide strategic insights and recommendations for improving our recruitment processes.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in recruiting for field positions, preferably in the environmental construction or renewable industries.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to field sites to engage with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Passion for environmental sustainability and a commitment to RES’s mission and values.
