The One Science early careers program is designed to create a pipeline of science talent positioned to lead bp through the energy transition and to provide reliable, affordable and lower carbon energy to the world.   

The program provides accelerated pathways and develops diverse talent through challenging rotations, a dedicated support network and by helping participants create a toolkit of transferable skills to succeed.  

We have roles on offer in:  

• Applied sciences    
• Environment     
• Geology  
• Geophysics    
• Petrophysics     
• Safety

Package

• You can expect a competitive base salary, plus an annual discretionary bonus. 
• Settling in allowance: as a bp early career, you will receive a one-off sign-on bonus.
• Holidays: employees get at least three weeks of paid vacation, nine paid holidays and two personal floating holidays.  
• Relocation: assistance is available for students moving over 50 miles for an early career role.  
• bpCare: our employees can access free, confidential and independent advice and practical support through our employee assistance program (EAP). The EAP is here to help you manage a wide range of issues that are worrying you at work or at home.
• Pension plan: you will receive a pension through the Retirement Accumulation Plan and a 401(K) with a 7% dollar-for-dollar matching contribution.  
• Health and welfare: as a bp early career, you will receive medical, dental, and vision coverage, health savings accounts, short and long-term disability, and employer-paid life insurance, among other benefits. 

 These are our requirements:  

• Obtained or working toward bachelor’s degree in relevant role discipline (some roles may require advanced degree)
• Graduating between December 2024 and May 2025 (if degree not yet obtained)
• No more than three years post-graduation (if degree already obtained)
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA
• Eligible to work in the U.S. with no restrictions
• *Will not require sponsorship now or in the future
