Focus: HOPE and Hope Village Revitalization serve and empower Detroit through a wide array of community-based approaches to growth and poverty alleviation. Together, we serve well over 40,000 residents annually. Focus: HOPE's programs include early childhood education, youth development, trade-based workforce training, and asset-based community development. These create a pipeline of opportunity for Detroiters at every stage of life. HOPE Village Revitalization was formerly a branch of Focus: HOPE but has since become an independent nonprofit organization. HVR works within the 100-block radius surrounding the Focus: HOPE campus on Oakman Boulevard, along the Detroit and Highland Park border. The residents of HOPE Village are the beneficiaries of all services and programming provided by HVR: sustainable housing, fresh food systems, healthy living, placemaking, community arts and culture, and the HOPE Village Farmers Market.
