Job Description

We are accepting applications for a Dredge Operator 1 within the Division of Parks & Watercraft, headquartered at Grand Lake Saint Marys State Park, assigned to Auglaize county. What you will do…

·         Operates heavy equipment to maintain dredge material relocation areas (DMRA's) & lake improvement projects

·         Removes sediment & aquatic vegetation from waterways

·         Operates dredge-related equipment such as pickup truck, boats, barges, tractors and mowers 

·         Starting hourly pay of $19.95/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 4 years of service, with an end salary of $21.97/hr

Qualifications

6 mos. trg. or 6 mos. exp. in equipment operation & maintenance (e.g., tractor, dump truck); 6 mos. trg or 6 mos. exp. in equipment safety practices. - Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above. Note: Upon obtaining a valid commercial driver’s license & successful completion of probationary period as a Dredge Operator 1 (54421), incumbent will automatically progress to Dredge Operator 2 (54422).
