Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results oriented individual to serve as Title IV-E and Medicaid Supervisor. Under administrative direction, this position will manage and direct the operations of the Department’s Title IV-E and Medicaid programs on a statewide basis. The position will direct, coordinate, and provide oversight to subordinate supervisors regarding the activities of staff responsible for the determination of eligibility for Title IV-E, Medicaid, TANF-Emergency Assistance, Long Term Care, and COBRA. This position provides a great opportunity for a motivated individual who is interested in playing a role in ensuring the appropriate application of federal benefit programs in the course of the Department’s operations. Job Responsibilities
1. Serves as Title IV-E and Medicaid Supervisor
2. Serves as Full line supervisor
3. Reviews, monitors, and oversees the Agency’s Title IV-E, Medicaid, and TANF-Emergency Assistance eligibility determination quality assurance program
4. Provides oversight of the unit's attainment and utilization of Social Security Administration benefits information
5. Coordinates and conducts a variety of special projects
6. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above.
Minimum Qualification
1. Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration
2. Requires three years of progressively responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization, including professional experience in the determination and monitoring of eligibility or compliance with Title IV-E, Medicaid, or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
Preferred Qualifications
1. 3 years of professional management experience in the area of Medicaid, Title IV-E, or TANF eligibility determination in a public or business organization
2. 3 years of professional experience conducting or providing oversight to auditing or compliance and quality review functions in a public or business organization
3. 3 years of experience supervising professional staff in a public or business organization
4. 3 years of professional experience managing or conducting special projects in a public or business organization
5. 3 years of professional experience serving in a liaison capacity for a public or business organization
Condition of Employment
