Custom Sign Shop Specialist - Senior

This position will be responsible for independently directing the work of PIOC (Person in our Care) in the production of Custom Signage products.  The Correctional Enterprises Specialist - Senior will work with PIOC workers, office administration, inside and outside sales staff, vendors, quality control and customers; while adhering to Department of Corrections (DOC), Division of Adult Institutions (DAI), and Bureau of Correctional Enterprises (BCE) policies and procedures.  The Correctional Enterprises Specialist - Senior will also manage inventories; manage production costs; oversee shop health and safety; utilize all Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) systems in their manufacturing facility and work closely with the supervisor to develop and implement new products. In addition, this position will be required to perform installation of some of the interior and exterior signage products offered by BCE. 

Minimally qualified applicants will have experience:

• Creating products in a factory, industrial, mechanical, supply chain, warehouse, manufacturing or fabrication atmosphere
• Using software from the Microsoft Office Suite (such as: Outlook, Word, Excel, Access)
• Using ERP/MRP Software and graphic design programs (such as: Oracle, NetSuite, SAP Illustrator, Flexi Design, Sign Cad, etc.)
• Leading or directing the work of other staff members in a role such as: team lead, project/shift manager, supervisor, or shop specialist, etc.
