Credit Supervisor
SUMMARY:
Consolidated Electrical Distributors is searching for a talented credit professional to supervise credit and collections for our Midwest Solar Division. The individual will focus on protecting the assets of CED, perform commercial/B2B credit and collection management over a large, assigned portfolio, develop and maintain strong internal and external customer relationships, and overs the day-to-day responsibilities of the Credit Office, all within the Company’s policies and procedures.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
- Supervise all collection activity for assigned locations, which includes creating and implementing strategies for collection on past due accounts.
 - Utilize expertise of lien and bond rights, UCCs, Letters-of-Credit, personal guarantees, etc. to establish strong security positions on CED’s risk.
 - Responsible for approval and set-up of construction job accounts.
 - Oversee credit decision-making of new and existing customers through use of security positions, trade references, and financial statement analysis.
 - Monthly, quarterly, and annual A/R reporting to management.
 - Recruiting, hiring, and training of Credit Office staff.
 - Ensure staff performs Credit Office functions up to CED standards. This includes cash application, bank reconciliation, funds transfers, etc.
 - Face-to-face relationship building with Customers, and CED Locations.
 - Secure and evaluate local counsel and collection agencies for legal services and external collections.
 - Manage collection on existing bad debt accounts.
 - Monitor and report on credit limits to sales team and location managers.
 - Field inquiries from external and internal customers.
 
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business related field, or comparable experience and expertise.
 - 5+ years’ experience in commercial credit management/finance field, construction related preferred.
 - Ability to travel as needed, including overnight.
 - Prior supervisory and/or management experience.
 - Able to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
 - Proficient with products in Microsoft Office Suite.
 - Thrive in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high-volume workload.
