Aurganics is on a mission to revolutionize the skincare experience for Black and brown glow-getters, who have historically been left out of the beauty conversation. We create plant-powered skincare for melanin-rich skin, because our skin is worth more than gold (Au).

Role Description:

  • 5-month commitment
  • 3-4 in-person events each month (~6-8 hours per event)
  • Paid role, profit-share model (12.5% commission on each sale you make)
  • Can be used for academic credit
  • The start date for this role is July 29th, 2024, the end date is December 27th, 2024.


 

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and secure in-person vending opportunities.
  • Assist in planning and organizing pop-up events.
  • Help set-up and breakdown event setups.
  • Drive in-person sales by pitching to customers and actively selling products.
  • Create engaging content during events and monitor media coverage.
  • Provide weekly updates on progress, content produced, metrics, and KPIs (key performance indicators) in one-on-one meetings with the founder.

Qualifications:

  • Current high school or college student.
  • Passionate about making skincare fun for Black and brown glow-getters.
  • Sales or retail experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.


 

What we’re looking for:

  • Creative thinker who thrives in dynamic environments and can quickly adapt to changing circumstances during events.
  • Experience in retail or direct sales, particularly in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as setting up displays, lifting products, and standing for long periods during events.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage inventory, track sales, and ensure smooth operations during events.
  • Exceptional verbal and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
  • Ability to implement feedback positively while maintaining a can-do attitude.
  • Strong time-management skills, dedicating at least 8 hours weekly to Aurganics.
