Analytical Lab Tech II R&D (Day Shift)

Work Schedule: Day Shift, Mon - Fri, 8:30 am - 5 pm EST

This analytical Lab Tech II role performs chemical and physical analysis following approved methodology and conducts experiments on organic and inorganic substances (such as pigment, inks, additives, solvents, and raw materials) to assure both product suitability and applicability. Accurately and safely performs and documents all experiments and results with minimal supervision. Operates and performs minor maintenance on lab equipment used in testing. Performs procedures and documentation required by the Quality Management System.
 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Setup and operation of analytical instruments such as GC, HPLC, UV-Vis, FTIR, and ICP ISO calibration of equipment.
  • Compliance with site regulations, including adherence to safety guidelines, chemical hygiene, and ISO guidelines.
  • Quality control analysis.
  • Maintain a safe and compliant lab environment.
  • Order lab supplies and manage inventory.
     

COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:

  • Knowledge and experience in chromatographic and spectroscopic techniques (HPLC, GC, ICP, UV-Vis, FTIR), titrations, pH, and conductivity measurements.
    • Collaborate effectively with team members from different disciplines to ensure successful project completion.
  • Prioritize competing tasks effectively to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, especially in MS Excel and Word.
  • Mathematical skills, including regression analysis and experience with analytical data analysis systems (GC, HPLC) are preferred.
  • Well organized, take initiative, flexible, and have effective communication skills (verbal and written).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate degree in chemistry preferred, others considered based on aptitude.
  • 1-2 years’ experience in the Analytical Chemistry field.
  • Strong safety and ethics awareness
