General Definition:
The City of Philadelphia seeks entry-level engineers completing or within 9 months of a bachelor's degree in civil, hydraulic, sanitary, structural, or architectural engineering, or construction management. No experience necessary!

About the Position:
This role involves beginning level civil engineering work, progressively increasing in scope and complexity. Assignments require evaluative thinking and adherence to standard engineering practices under supervision.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, hydraulic, sanitary, structural, architectural engineering, or related fields from an accredited college or university.

Physical & Medical Requirements:
Ability to perform job duties and work in required environmental conditions.

Required Licenses & Certifications:
Possession of a valid proper class motor vehicle operator’s license issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania prior to and during tenure of employment.

Other Requirements:
Candidates must submit official transcripts indicating completion of the educational requirement and all required licenses, registrations, or certifications at the time of application.

Equivalency Statement(s):
Any equivalent combination of education that has included completion of a bachelor’s degree program in an acceptable area of engineering.
