Records Technician

The Minnehaha County Register of Deeds Office invites applications for a Records Technician to join our team! Our Records Technicians provide exceptional assistance to the public both in person and over the phone, conducting initial reviews and accepting documents, issuing a wide range of records, scanning and microfilming documents as required by law, managing incoming and outgoing mail, and maintaining updated duplicard files. Our office works from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. We have a great team of professionals who are passionate about the critical services we perform for our community.

SALARY: $20.80 - $22.95 Hourly

How You Will Make an Impact

Provide direct and telephone assistance on recorded documents, property and lien searches, and vital records. Receive, index, scan, image, and microfilm recorded documents. Handle general office tasks, including proofreading, mail processing, and preparing outgoing mail.

Records Technician

What You Need to Succeed in this Role

High school diploma or GED plus two years general clerical office work. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. Must successfully complete pre-employment background process. Proficient in computer keyboard, 10-key, scanners, and office machines. Knowledgeable in office practices. Excellent phone communication and basic proofreading skills. Effective oral and written communication. Detail-oriented and precise. Able to follow guidelines and legal recording requirements. Good at maintaining professional relationships and appearance.
