Health Informatics Internship

Seeking students interested in gaining practical experience in product analysis, project coordination, and healthcare IT. 

  • Position: Health Informatics Internship
  • Duration: August 12th, 2024 – April 25th, 2025
  • Part time, working 15 – 29 hours/week
  • Location: Remote, based in Michigan (Eastern Time Zone)
  • Wage: $14/hour

The company is currently not authorized to support remote work employees in the following locations: Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, California, Delaware, Idaho, Massachusetts, Montana, Nebraska, Utah, Wyoming.  

The student internship program accepts international students with up-to-date work authorization for off-campus employment.  

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Apply business analyst techniques to gather requirements, create documentation, and support decision-making processes in health informatics projects.
  • Develop and maintain data management tools, EHR, and health information systems.
  • Gather and validate requirements from healthcare experts for technological solutions.
  • Stay updated on industry rules for data protection and health informatics.
  • Train in integration engine concepts and tools for health IT data transformation.
  • Utilize HL7® and FHIR® standards for healthcare data.
  • Analyze healthcare data to identify trends and insights.
  • Contribute to strategy development, system design, and process improvement in health informatics.

Qualifications: 

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Interest in healthcare information technology as a career path.
  • Ability to effectively build rapport in a remote working environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Be legally eligible to work in the US and off-campus.
  • Pass a criminal background check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with digital tools like Zoom, JIRA, Confluence, HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Outlook, and Teams.
