Mad science is Searching for individuals with a passion for fun to work in various areas of Northern NJ. (Our Mad Scientists are placed in locations that are the closest to where they live).

Mad Science is seeking enthusiastic, creative, energetic and highly organized individuals to become after school class instructors. We are seeking individuals who enjoy working with children, and can have fun spreading the mission of Mad Science.

What you Do:

Our Main location is in Fair Lawn, NJ but we are currently looking for Instructors travel to public and private schools & organizations near their location, and work with a group of children, facilitating a fun, educational, and safe environment. (Mileage/toll compensation available).

What we need from You:

  • Ability to enthusiastically lead activities to groups of up to 20 children at a time
  • Travel to our main location in Fair Lawn, NJ is required once a week for equipment pick up. (Hoboken locations do not require this).
  • An outgoing, animated and fun-loving personality, with a professional demeanor
  • A reliable vehicle available for transportation

Available Positions:

*Please Note: All Positions require a vehicle for transportation*

*If living in Hoboken ONLY, locations can be access by foot or public transportation*

Workshop STEM Instructor:

  • School year availability between the hours of 2:00pm - 5:00pm a minimum of 3 weekdays Monday- Friday. (After School classes are 1 hour long between these hours).
  • Compensation: $40/hr

Birthday Party Performer:

  • Availability between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm Saturday & Sunday
  • Ability to lead a group of 20-100 students
  • Ability to travel to different locations
  • Compensation: $40/hr + tips

Event Performer:

  • Availability 3 days/week (Monday - Sunday) between the hours of 9:00am - 5:00pm
  • Ability to lead a group of 20-100 students
  • Ability to travel to different locations
  • Compensation: $50/hr
