Physical Therapist Athletic Therapy Practice

SCOPE OF WORK:

Patient Evaluation and Assessment: conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical abilities, limitations, and performance goals. Evaluate strength, range of motion, coordination, balance, and other relevant factors to develop appropriate treatment plans.

Treatment Planning and Implementation: Based on the assessment, develop and modify personalized treatment plans and goals that incorporate therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, modalities, and functional training.

Collaboration: Collaborate with co-workers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.

Rehabilitation and Intervention: provide hands-on interventions, prescribe therapeutic exercises, and use specialized equipment to facilitate healing and recovery. Focus on improving muscle strength, flexibility, joint mobility, coordination, balance, and overall physical performance.

Patient Education and Home Exercise Programs: Educate patients and their families about their condition, treatment options, and strategies for self-management. Develop home exercise programs and provide guidance on injury prevention, ergonomics, and lifestyle modifications to promote long-term well-being.

Documentation and Charting: clearly and concisely document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes to ensure accurate communication and continuity of care in a timely manner. Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval, as indicated and necessary for clinical care of the patient.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current IL state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
  • Degree from accredited PT program.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Basic computer skills
