Data Science Intern

Padagis is seeking a current college student or recent graduate to work as a Data Science Intern, working closely with our Commercial Team to provide data analysis and support for modeling initiatives, and to support ongoing business planning and analytics needs. This is a part-time, temporary position targeting 20 hours per week hybrid/on-site at our Grand Rapids, Michigan (Wyoming), January-April 2025.

Duties:

  • Performing detailed analysis to deliver insight and support analytics initiatives
  • Working closely with the Commercial Team to provide data analysis and support for modeling initiatives
  • Data visualization dashboard creation using Power BI
  • Supporting data exploration to evaluate ideas for new analytics use case opportunities
  • Other ongoing data analytics work as needed

Required qualifications:

  • Incoming juniors, seniors or graduate students
  • Pursuing an undergraduate/grad degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, or related business discipline
  • Open to learning, providing feedback and/or receiving feedback on performance
  • Detail oriented with good communication and presentation skills
  • Analytical capabilities – being able to see things differently than others with substance and relevance
  • Coding in Python or R for statistical modelling and integrations into BI platforms (desired, but not required)
  • Available to work roughly 20 hours/week for up to twelve (12) weeks in the Winter (Jan-April) of 2025.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Coding in Python or R for statistical modelling and integrations into BI platforms
