Manufacturing Documentation Specialist

Job Summary

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Documentation Specialist to join our Process Engineering Department. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation, including work instructions (op sheets), bills of materials (BOMs), and manufacturing order packets. You will also work with engineers and other team members to ensure that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain op sheet electronic and hard copy libraries
  • Organize and track op sheet changes through the approval process
  • Edit and review changes in the electronic op sheet library
  • Review and process Manufacturing Order packets
  • Review, process, and distribute engineering changes/deviations
  • Develop and assemble modification documents
  • Develop op sheets for new PCB assemblies with input from Process Engineering
  • Maintain Bill of Material Print Of Use (POU) and Sequence information
  • Coordinate post build reviews
  • Support the floor with any documentation needs
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications and Skills

  • Computer experience with creating/editing documentation and images
  • Experience with writing technical procedural documentation
  • Knowledge of printed circuit board assemblies and manufacturing assembly processes (preferred)
  • Understanding of Bill of Materials (BOM)
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented person with good organization and filing skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
