Summary of Position:

This is a 12-month, full-time temporary (2 year) position to teach laboratory and lecture classes for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiography. For in-person or hybrid teaching positions, candidates must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment.

This posting is used for face to face, laboratory and/or online instruction, plus clinical visits at external sites, however, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment.

Required Education:

Associates degree in Radiography and Bachelor's degree in Radiography, Health Sciences, Education, or related field.

Required Work Experience:

At least two years of full-time employment experience as a radiographer.

Required Licenses and Certifications:

ARRT® (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered:

Master's degree in Radiography or a health- or education-related field. Prior radiography teaching experience, 3-5 years of recent employment as a radiographer, specialty registries in one or more imaging modalities including CT or MRI.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

- Provide classroom, lab, and on-line instruction as assigned.
- Conduct clinical visits with student in their remote clinical sites to insure they are completing required masteries.
- Maintain office hours on-campus or on-line for students.
- Adhere to the policies of the college and university.
- Perform any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
- Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
- Faculty members also have professional responsibilities which may include but are not limited to: keeping regular posted office hours (which are scheduled at times convenient for students), and participation in traditional functions which have academic significance (ex. reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off campus or in an on-line environment.
