About this Position:
LMCU is looking for a Wealth Management Intern that will be a vital part of a growing Wealth Management Department within Lake Michigan Credit Union. Daily involvement with professionals who bring many years of experience in Financial Planning and relationship-based Wealth Management that will provide the intern with valuable insight into the entrepreneurial process of prospecting, gathering, maintaining, and managing account relationships.
What you'll do:
Participate with and provide general support to LMIS Financial Advisors, Administrative Assistants, LMCU Business Units and MaxWealth Management Clients on database entry and maintenance, document management, scanning, filing, or other tasks as needed/assigned.
Participate in networking (in person, online and phone) with prospect clients and LMCU Business Units. Participate and assist in preparing for financial planning meetings and support Financial Advisors by developing client materials and investment proposals.
Maintains the highest Compliance standards by adhering to the company’s Human Resources guidelines, Compliance policies and procedures, professional designation standards, and industry's regulatory standards to mitigate risk to the Company.
Evaluates process efficiencies and offers suggestions to enhance systems and interactions with clients and/or team members. Assigned to projects and creates presentation to be delivered at the end of internship assignment.
What you'll bring:
Major in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field of study is preferred.
College student at freshmen, sophomore, junior, senior, or master level status, or a recent college graduate within the last 3 months.
3.0 GPA or greater preferred.
