The State Water Resources Control Board’s, Division of Administration Services, Human Resources Branch has an opening for a Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory) in the Human Resources Branch. The position is located in the beautiful CalEPA building at 1001 I Street, 18th Floor, Sacramento, CA 95814. The building is in the downtown vicinity near local restaurants and various public transportation.

The Human Resources Branch is seeking a highly motivated, strong, resilient leader with experience in transforming teams. The successful candidate will be driven, results focused, and customer service oriented. The Incumbent will mainly be responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities related to hiring and recruiting.

Duties:

The Staff Services Manager II (Supervisory) is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities related to recruiting and hiring. The incumbent is required to work independently, communicate effectively and manage multiple tasks. Daily proficient utilization of office equipment and the Microsoft Office Suite is required.

As the SSMII, you will serve as the Classification and Pay Section Manager and will supervise two Staff Services Manager I and indirectly supervise eight support staff that covers classification and pay, examination, and certifications functions.

Salary information – CalHR salary rules allow appointment at the entrance rate (Cal. Code Regs., tit. 2, § 599.673) of a classification. For classes with alternate ranges, placement is based on education/experience.
