Line Cook

Line Cook.  Part-time or Full-time for evening shifts from 3 pm to 11 pm.

Food Handling Serve Safe Certificate required or obtained within first week of hire.

Need excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, knife skills, cleaning and organization skills to maintain sanitary environment, maintain cleanliness and order of equipment, stock and fill items on hot and cold sides of the line; operate smoker, fryer, stove; read ticket orders; plate food in correct portion and aesthetic in correct order and speed.  Need to lift up to 40 lbs of food product occasionally to load smoker with meats and able to stand between 5 and 7 hour shifts.  

Restaurant is open daily from 11 am to 10 pm; 11 pm on Friday and Saturday.  www.redsmokebarbeque.com located at 573 Monroe, in Greektown, Detroit.  Parking is available at Casino garage or nearby parking lots for a fee.
