Job Description
The Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy’s Drinking Water and Environmental Health Division (DWEHD) is filling a Departmental Analyst – IT Training Coordinator position. This position will collaborate with a team of experienced staff to support the DWEHD’s IT systems by coordinating training for staff, local health department partners, and external users.

Examples of actual projects for this position include:
 

  • Develop a standardized training plan that ensures the programmatic/business needs are met within the IT functionality.
  • Coordinate materials and training programs to ensure consistency and efficiency of IT training.
  • Coordinate with program areas to understand the business functionality and to understand how the IT systems work.
  • Contributing to a team of professionals in charge of overseeing the DWEHD’s IT systems.


The work location of  this position will be either the Lansing, Jackson, Warren, Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, Cadillac, Bay City, Gaylord, or Marquette District Office based on the selected candidate.

The work location of these positions will be either the Lansing, Kalamazoo, Jackson, Warren, Grand Rapids, Cadillac, Bay City, Gaylord, or Marquette District Office, depending on the selected candidate.  However, the selected candidate may be eligible for a hybrid work schedule (combination of remote and in-person) or a fully remote work schedule (with occasional travel to their official work location). Employees approved for schedules that include remote work must complete that work within Michigan. Relocation expenses are not reimbursed. When working remote, employees must use a designated workspace that is safe and professionally appropriate, allows for privacy, minimizes distractions, and includes secure internet access. Details regarding work location and schedule options for this position may be discussed during the interview process.  

Required Education and Experience

Education
Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

Experience 

Departmental Analyst 9
No specific type or amount is required.

Departmental Analyst 10
One year of professional experience.

Departmental Analyst P11
Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

Departmental Analyst 12
Three years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the experienced (P11) level in state service.
