IT Systems Administrator

IT Systems Administrator 

Normal, Illinois

This will be 100% onsite

Virtualization:
* Design, implement, and manage virtualization technologies such as VMware vSphere or Open Source Hypervisors (KVM).
* Skillset to manage Hyper-Converge solution example VxRail, vSAN clusters
* Optimize virtual infrastructure for performance and scalability.
* Troubleshoot virtualization issues and provide root cause analysis.

SAN Fabric Storage Network:
* Design, configure, and maintain SAN (Storage Area Network) fabric on Cisco MDS Switches.
* Implement zoning, masking, and other SAN management practices.
* Monitor SAN performance and troubleshoot storage-related issues.

Backup & Storage:
* Design and implement backup solutions for servers, virtual machines, and data.
* Manage backup schedules, retention policies, and disaster recovery plans.
* Perform regular backup tests and ensure data integrity.
* Design and Implements File Services (NFS and SMB) solution

Rack Stack servers:
* Install, configure, and maintain rack-mounted servers.
* Manage server hardware, including upgrades and replacements.
* Ensure server security and compliance with best practices.

AWX Ansible:
* Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and AWX.
* Develop Ansible playbooks and roles to automate routine tasks.
* Integrate Ansible with other tools and systems for comprehensive automation.

Kubernetes:
* General Knowledge of the On-Prem Kubernetes platform.
* Design & Build Physical Compute resources for the On-Prem Kubernetes platform

General Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless operation of IT systems.
* SOP Documentation and architectural design for the team
* Capacity Planning for all the services listed above
* Participate in on-call rotation and respond to system emergencies.
* Stay updated with industry trends and recommend new technologies or practices to improve efficiency.
