Bilingual Mental Health Clinician/Community Liaison
QARI (Quincy Asian Resources, Inc.) is a not-for-profit social-service organization with a mission to foster and improve the social, cultural, economic, and civic lives of immigrants and their families. QARI is seeking a bilingual candidate to fill a newly created position that combines clinical and community liaison roles into one position. We are looking for licensed mental health clinicians (LICSW, LMHC, Psy.D., and Ph.D) who are interested in supporting the Asian and immigrant community for clinical as well as community services. Under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor and the Director of Programs and Services, the Mental Health Clinician/Community Liaison will provide individual, group and family counseling services to clients referred through other QARI programs or community partners. The Program will help increase the Asian and immigrant community's awareness of our mental health resources and services as well as streamlined pathways to access these services.

Hours/Week Category: Full Time or Part Time
Reports To: Director of Programs and Services and Clinical Supervisor
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and treat clients assigned by the Clinical Director and/or Clinical Supervisor. Modalities of treatment include, but are not limited to, counseling with individuals, groups, couples, and families.
- Maintain updated electronic medical clinical records in a timely fashion and as specified by the policies and procedures of the clinic.Coordinate treatment with other involved parties as appropriate, i.e. other psychiatric and/or medical providers (PCP), schools, significant client supports, etc.
- Participate in staff meetings, clinical case reviews, case conferences, and other similar staff activities.
- Co-facilitate weekly art and expressive therapy group for middle and high school students.
- Supervise monthly Bubble Tea Time group for teens to discuss topics such as stress, anxiety, relationships, etc. with their peers.
- Provide weekly consultation (3-5 hours/week) to staff, students, and parents at local high school(s), with topics including referrals, stress management, immigration issues, conflict management, behavior concerns, etc.
- Provide information and education to the public about QARI’s Mental Health Clinic at local community events, including the annual Quincy August Moon and Lunar New Year Festivals.
- Offer client coaching to help with social service needs, providing referrals to local and state agencies.
- Attend all required training.
- Maintain professional licensure and professional competency; or work towards licensure.
- Meet the Clinical Supervisor regularly for supervision/consultation.
- Build and sustain client and community relationships.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Graduate of a masters degree program with studies in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.
- Licensed to do clinical work: LICSW, LMHC, Psy.D., or Ph.D. If applicant has a Psy.D. degree and needs post-doctoral hours, this can be arranged. If applicant is working towards LMHC or LICSW licensure, supervision hours are available.
- Requirement for bilingual candidates fluent in English and Mandarin, Cantonese, or Vietnamese.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including utilizing telehealth video technology and electronic medical records.
- Preferred experience in working with Asian, immigrant, and other diverse populations.
