Faculty, Business Supervision & Management

Miami Dade College is now accepting applications for Faculty, Business Supervision & Management (Bachelor's Program). 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teaches lecture and laboratory sections
  • Evaluates students and performs career and academic advising
  • Plans and organizes instructional materials to meet course objectives
  • Develops and teaches online courses
  • Teaches Dual Enrollment classes
  • Recruits, advises, and evaluates students
  • Prepares and writes grants for the School of Engineering and Technology
  • Teaches information systems technology courses college wide
  • Participates in a variety of departmental, campus and college-wide programs, activities, and committees
  • Serves as a resource person for adjunct faculty
  • Teaches day, evening and weekend classes as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • Doctorate in Business Administration, Human Resources, Management, Organizational Behavior or Supervision & Administration; or Master's degree in Business Administration or Management; or Master's degree and 18 graduate semester hours in one or any combination of the following fields: Human Resources, Management, Organizational Behavior or Supervision & Administration.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Familiarity with and use of collaborative learning techniques and student-centered methods of instruction
  • Ability to function well in a technological environment and willing to use technological tools in instruction
  • Possess excellent communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with students with a wide range of skills
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff, and the community
  • Demonstrated effective use of active learning techniques
  • Previous curriculum development and recruitment experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural environment
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
  • Start date for this Faculty position is anticipated to be the beginning of Fall 2024 semester
  • Doctoral stipend awarded in addition to base salary, as applicable
