ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Responsible for communication with physicians and pharmacies for all residents.
  • Administers medications to residents.
  • Getting monthly MARs (Medical Administration Record) ready and available for all homes.
  • Ensures all record keeping and/or required documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Trains new and existing staff in medication administration as needed.
  • Completes and distributes medication error reports as appropriate.

 

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The candidate must be a licensed RN in the state of Illinois, must have liability insurance, and 1 year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
