Berlin PD- Patrol Officer

PATROL OFFICER

The Berlin Police Department has an immediate opening for a full-time Patrol Officer. Applicants who successfully pass a basic skills written exam and fitness assessment will be invited to participate in an Oral Board Interview. Requirements

Must possess at least a High School Diploma or equivalent. Must pass a written exam, physical fitness test, oral board, background check, polygraph examination, psychological examination, physical examination, and drug test.

Once hired, the officer must successfully complete the 16-week police academy through the New Hampshire Police Training Council (NHPSTC). The officer must also successfully complete the departments 14-week Field Training Program.

Berlin Police Department employs approximately 30 full-time employees and supports a multitude of training opportunities. It offers many specialized units such as: L.E.A.D. Officer, School Resource Officer, Evidence Officer, Firearms Instructor, Firearms Armorer, Physical Fitness Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Honor Guard, Emergency Response Team, Mountain Bike Patrol, Detective Division, Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team, and other various trainings and certifications.'
