Overview:
Build your career as a PC Technician through an internship in Piramal Critical Care. Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure, the role is designed to support our top notch desktop support operations at our Bethlehem site. This role is ideal for a student with a concentration in Information Technology, with technical savvy and who is a proficient problem-solver. The role will interact daily with users and perfect for someone who can explain complicated issues both technically and non-technically. If you are a self-motivated problem solver who loves to work in a dynamic and positive environment, this may be the role for you.
Responsibilities include:
Review Helpdesk Tickets as assigned and respond accordingly to help users resolve issues. Ensure that ticket submitters receive frequent and effective communication.
Image and prepare new computers
Provide computer hardware support for PCs, laptops, monitors, servers, and other IT equipment, including diagnoses, repairs, rebuilds, and refurbishments
Review issues and provide support for setup and trouble-shooting issues in desktop applications, such as Microsoft Outlook, Antivirus tools, Windows, etc.
Transfer data from PC to PC and troubleshoot hardware/software
Install printers, troubleshoot and resolve issues
Set up phones (desktop and mobile) and troubleshoot issues
Prepare and update inventory of equipment as instructed by manager
Review stock levels of equipment and make suggestions for purchases
Break down, box and ship old equipment for destruction
Ensure the integrity of all electronic data records by following company IT asset management and quality standards
Assist with dept. projects under the guidance and leadership of the team
Other project duties assigned
Qualifications
Ability to work at our Bethlehem, PA site several days a week ( must be on-site)
Pursuing degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related fields
Experience with PC and Mac laptops, printers, monitors and peripheral devices
Ability to Image Equipment for use
Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows, Anti-virus and other desktop applications
Ability to take instruction and manage tasks to completion, Self starter
Ability to perform problem-solving and work independently or with others to resolve issues
Ability to multitask and attention to detail are critical
Friendly disposition and high focus on great customer service
