Administrative Internship (124962)

Job Description

Performs administrative staff work in support of projects and initiatives focusing on regional ambulatory and department operations.

 

Job Responsibilities

  1. Participates in the collection and preparation of data relative to the work of the department.
  2. Assists in project management studies work in pursuit of regional ambulatory operations goals, including but not limited to access, quality, finance, and/or patient experience.
  3. Assists management in facilitating new projects, initiatives, and/or programs focusing on ambulatory operations and/or central business functions.
  4. Performs related duties, as required.

Job Qualification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • Currently enrolled in college majoring in related healthcare management or business field, required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple projects and/or initiatives.
  • Prior administrative experience in a hospital healthcare setting, preferred.

 

Schedule and Location:

On-site, Monday – Friday; 9am – 5pm.

Duration: Early June to Mid August

Melville, New York
