IT Support Trainee

Description: 

 

Novares is actively recruiting for an IT Support Trainee to join our team in Walworth, WI! This is an exciting opportunity for an entry level candidate to gain professional experience resolving minor incident tickets, troubleshooting internal applications/technology/hardware, assisting with integrating new systems, and developing new skills under the supervision of senior IT technicians. This position will be 30-40 hours a week during the summer, and has the opportunity to extend as a part time role when classes start back up!

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Technical Support: respond to user inquiries, and resolve level one IT incidents
    • Password resets
    • Creating user profiles
    • Software / application installation
    • Wiping / resetting / replacing failed hardware
    • Assist the IT team with integrating new systems
    • Shadow Senior IT technicians, and assist with higher level incidents

 

Qualifications:

 

  • 0-2 years of experience working with IT equipment (Classroom experience / projects, prior internships, etc.
  • Currently pursuing some sort of higher education in an IT related field (Associates degree, bachelor’s degree, certification, etc)
    • Open to recent grads as well!
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • The ability to communicate and simplify technical terminology
  • The ability to document incidents and processes thoroughly and accurately

 

Preferred Qualifications / Nice to Have:

 

  • Prior experience with Microsoft Suite
  • Prior experience with an IT help desk ticketing system, and even better if it’s Freshworks!
