CT Technologist
Medical Associates Radiology department is seeking a full-time CT Technologist!
As a CT Tech, you will perform specialized diagnostic medical imaging procedures, producing quality images for interpretation by physician, specific skills in computed tomography. You must be an energetic, self-motivated, team-oriented individual with excellent communication skills and be able to positively relate with others in a fast paced environment.
Schedule: Mon-Fri primarily between 6:30am-5:00pm, flexibility required. No weekends, holidays, or call!
Location: West Campus – 1500 Associates Drive Dubuque, IA

Essential Functions:
- Ability to post process images and prepare study for Radiologist/Physician to read
- Elicit patient histories from medical charts and the patient; explain and prepare patient for procedures.
- Communicate with Radiologist or Physician to select appropriate parameters.
- Monitor patient's condition during procedure and initiate appropriate life support if necessary.
- Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked with pertinent supplies.
- Maintain accurate charge tickets
- Maintain proper information in the RIS, tracking images to various other locations.
- Apply principles of radiation protection to both patients and staff.
- Cannulate veins for administration of contrast material or other medications.
- Maintain computed tomography and power injector equipment in good condition, reporting any malfunction to Manager Radiology. Perform Quality Assurance.
- Complete all other assigned projects and duties.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Experience: Three to five years of similar or related CT experience.
Education: Board certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist and CT certification required.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees, leadership, physicians, patients and visitors
Other Skills: PACS, Cerner, hoyer lift operations, gurney, wheelchair, injection paraphernalia, power injectors, and vein cannulization.
