OVERVIEW:
Working as Full-Time IT Technical Support Analyst, you will provide technical support for Fastenal's support teams, Operations and Fulfillment systems. You will be an intricate part of the day-to-day business. You will assist employees by supporting applications and their associated process flows throughout the various IT systems. You will use your knowledge and expertise to make recommendations for operational and support excellence. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
o Providing technical support, expertise, and fluidity for the various application and systems through service tickets, phone calls, and emails
o Troubleshooting processes and debugging user interface (UI) applications and system syncs
o Creating and maintaining a variety of queries
o Determining the root cause of various software, application and database sync problems
o Collaborating with other IT teams across a wide variety of systems
o Providing technical support for level one support teams within the company
o Providing 24x7 support on critical systems in an on-call rotation

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess or working toward a degree in Information Technology, Math, Statistics, Data Science, Actuarial Science, Industrial Engineering, Process Engineering OR possess IT work experience OR Fastenal work experience
o Excellent written and oral communication skills, especially via telephone and email
o Proficient computer skills
o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency
o Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented
o Demonstrate strong organization, planning and prioritizing abilities
o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision making skills
o Willingness to travel
o Pass the required drug screen and background check (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY)

PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
o Possess 3 years of IT related work experience
o Prior customer service experience
o Knowledge of programming languages and SQL
