Clinical Assistant
Growing TMJ and Sleep apnea practice looking to add an assistant to fun and an exciting team atmosphere. Our practice focuses on whole body health by identifying and educating on the root cause of dental/medical issues. The applicant will be trained to be an assistant for handling all medical clinical needs.
Clinical Assistant Job Responsibilities:
· Utilizes Electronic Medical Records EMR system to document all services performed and referrals ordered.
· Supports medical care delivery by preparing a treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials.
· Prepares a treatment room for patients by following prescribed procedures and protocols.
· Readies patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, and seating patients.
· Provides information to patients and employees by answering questions and requests.
· Provides doctor-directed therapies to help relieve pain and reduce inflammation.
· Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.
· Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
· Protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
· Maintains medical/dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies.
Our practice is open two days a week (days vary) from 8am to 5pm and every Friday 8am to 5pm.
We have 1 doctor and 1 assistant/office manager.
Clinical Assistant Qualifications / Skills:
- Fast Learner
- Teamwork
- Bedside Manner
- Use of medical technologies as directed
- Performing diagnostic procedures as directed
- Charting patient records in real time
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Phlebotomist preferred but not required
- Experience with EMR (electronic medical records)
- Medical Terminology
- Experience in Medical/Dental 1+ years
