Communications assistant and language specialist- Minneapolis Area Synod

About half the position will be working with translation and non-complicated interpretation with members of Lutheran congregations or other community leaders who primarily or exclusively speak Spanish. In addition, there will be work in English (and Spanish?) with social media and other communications. Depending on interest another 20% of the position can be somewhat flexible, perhaps working with one of our Lilly Endowment Inc. grants.

Translation of communication with our Spanish-language or bilingual congregations 
Interpretation of 1:1 meetings between staff and leaders of those communities 
Develop materials in Spanish for use by those communities 
Occasional writing of articles, blogs, etc. for synod communications 
Social media, under direction of Comms Team
