Job Title: Data Analyst (Summer Internship)

Job Overview:

Join our dynamic team at Michigan Capital Network Ventures, a leading venture capital fund located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Data Analyst to support our data-driven decision-making and reporting process. This role involves building sophisticated reports and queries to meet the requirements of our diverse client base and business requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain databases, data systems – reorganizing data in a readable format.
  • Generate reports for internal and client-facing use, ensuring they meet business needs and accuracy.
  • Utilize programming skills to improve the user interface for our database front end and analysis.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and correcting issues related to data analysis and data management.
  • Work closely with the team to prioritize business and information needs.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of SQL, HTML, and JavaScript. Azure hosting a benefit. MS-SQL preferred.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and report building.
  • Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms.
  • Demonstrated experience with handling large data sets and relational databases.
  • Ability to work a minimum of one day per week in our Grand Rapids office.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or have recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Previous internship or project experience in data analysis or related field is preferred.

Employment Type:

  • Part-time to full time, 15-40 hours per week.

Duration:

  • Summer Internship (May - August), flexible.

Compensation:

  • $25 to $35 per hour, depending on experience.
