Clinical Support Specialist

The US healthcare system is short by 3.2 million healthcare workers! At Grapefruit Health we are addressing this by recruiting, onboarding, training, and managing a portion of the almost 1 million students pursuing clinical programs to perform interactions with patients remotely. We focus on lower acuity, high volume tasks that do not require clinical licensure. We perform these at great scale and maximize fiscal resources which allows us to serve a broader and more comprehensive patient demographic base. We are a brand new healthcare, tech-enabled services startup headquartered in Chicago, IL. 

We are excited to announce an opportunity for the position of Clinical Support Specialist! This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive clinical support within our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering essential quality assurance, clinical assistance, and aiding in recruitment/onboarding processes for students. An aptitude for rapid learning, identifying areas for enhancement, and fostering team relationships will be key. This role reports directly to the VP of Clinical Services.

Full Time - Remote (within 100 miles of Chicago, IL)

Compensation

  • $40,000 to $60,000 per year, depending on level and experience

Major Job Responsibilities 


 

Quality Assurance (50%)

  • Quality Assurance
    • Support quality analysis reviews on patient outreach calls
    • Send surveys to students to collect feedback/information on ways we can continually improve
    • Escalation of quality concerns to leadership for review
    • Other quality assurance work as assigned



 

Clinical/Administrative Support (50%)


 

  • Clinical
    • Assisting with calls as required to manage high call volumes and maintain service standards
    • Responding to incoming calls to provide assistance to the appropriate program
    • Other clinical work as assigned
  • Administrative
    • Triaging student questions or concerns to ensure timely resolution and effective support
    • Sending out communication to students informing them about upcoming scheduled calls they are required to participate in, ensuring their awareness and preparedness
    • Keeping students informed about any modifications or developments in program content and technical procedures, facilitating smooth transitions and enhanced user experience.
    • Identifying and resolving technical issues related to Vanta software to maintain smooth operations and user experience
    • Investigating and addressing technical challenges associated with ScaleFusion software to uphold system functionality and user satisfaction.
    • Other administrative work as assigned




 

Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of healthcare experience required
  • Medical Assistant Certification, Certified Nursing Assistant, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Certification/Degree in healthcare related field 
  • Expert in medical terminology
  • Need to be comfortable documenting and collecting data
  • No fear of learning new platforms and applications 
  • Extremely strong communicator and public speaker
  • Basic computer skills, including Excel and Google Workspace
  • Engaging and cheerful conversationalist really enjoys speaking with and interacting with people
  • Strong desire to work for a startup and can appreciate the demands that are associated with this
  • Incredibly confident and bold 
  • Live within 100 miles of Chicago, IL
