Marketing and Development Intern

Job Title: Marketing and Development Intern

Organization: In The Image 

Reports to: Development Manager

Location: 4255 Kalamazoo Ave SE Grand Rapids, MI 49508

Hours and Duration: Flexible hours, 10-15 a week. Summer Internship from May-August. 

 

Position Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and motivated Marketing and Development Intern to join our team. The intern will assist in various marketing and development initiatives aimed at increasing awareness, engagement, and support for In The Image and its programs. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in nonprofit marketing, fundraising, and community engagement.

 

Responsibilities Include: 

  • Marketing Strategies and Implementation: Assist in the creation of marketing materials (flyers, rack cards, social media graphics, etc.). Aid in the process of email and mailing campaigns. Attend occasional community and networking events with ITI’s Development Manager. 
  • Fundraising and Donor Relations: Provide strategic support for ITI’s giving campaigns, assist in event planning and fundraising efforts, participate in donor appreciation initiatives.  
  • Administrative Support: Manage ITI’s social media platforms, update ITI’s donor database, edit donor lists, organize photos and other assets. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a bachelor's program in marketing, communications, business, nonprofit administration, or a related field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Word and Excel 
  • Experience with social media management tool, Buffer, and project management tool, Trello, is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for In The Image’s mission and dedication to making a positive impact.
