JOB SUMMARY
As a subject matter expert in manufacturing or supply chain, the Consultant provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to a client’s business. The goal is facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations, demonstrations, and benchmarks. You will be responsible for providing consulting, technical/functional support to clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. You will utilize manufacturing and supply chain subject matter expertise to perform needs gathering and requirement analysis for prospective customers. You will be able to provide input to other cross-functional departments pertaining to prospect requests and product enhancements as needed to drive future roadmap functionality items.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Top notch communication skills, including the ability to simplify complicated topics
· Possess the necessary business acumen and experience to understand best business practices across a variety of industries and compare customer requirements to ERP best practices
· Ability to lead consultative discovery sessions, distill the information collected, and quickly develop demo scripts that demonstrate a meaningful understanding of a client’s business, pain points and potential opportunities to leverage technology.
· In depth Manufacturing Processes and/or Supply Chain Expertise.
· Ability to document process flows and business requirements to the development team when customizations are required to meet the needs of the prospect
· Hands-on leadership

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
 This individual should have an outgoing personality and be comfortable interacting (and teaching) all levels of internal and external staff.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
· Thorough knowledge of system and application design.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills: needs analysis, value positioning, business justification, closing techniques, presentation skills.
· Demonstrated ability to solve complex business problems with accounts in complex technical environments.
· BS degree or equivalent; Engineering/Supply Chain degree desirable.
· Willingness to travel required
