Position Summary: 

Strategic partner and organizational leader in the development of employee experience, employee and labor relations strategy that minimizes organizational risk and maximize business performance.

Education, License & Cert: 

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.  Title IX Coordinator Certification.

Experience: 

A minimum of seven (7) years of experience directing day‐to‐day operations preferably for a health care organization. Knowledge of human resource practices and theories. Proven track record of formulating goals and objectives consistent with state, federal, and local guidelines. Knowledge of management principles and theories. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees and the public. Knowledge of the budgeting process. Skill in exercising a high degree of initiative, judgement, discretion, and decision making to achieve organizational objectives. Ability to create an atmosphere which encourages motivation, innovation, and high performance. Ability to delegate authority and responsibility.

Essential Functions: 

1. Strategic partner and organizational leader in the development of employee experience, employee and labor relations strategy that minimizes organizational risk and maximize business performance.  Supports the SLT in building the workforce capability and culture required to support substantial growth and change at a rapid pace.

2. Ensuring that the Employee and Labor Relations and Employee Experience Center of Excellence strategy remains current with the changing marketplace.

3. Overall responsibility for ensuring that all mergers & acquisitions are successfully assimilated into the Guthrie culture and the system Employee Relations/ Labor Relations Strategy.

4. Overall service line responsibility.  Also responsible for:  Policy interpretation, Policy creation & maintenance; Regulatory Compliance (DOH / Joint Commission); EEOC; FLSA; Employee & Labor Relations Strategy, Employee Opinion Surveys; Employee Events; Annual Performance Evaluations; Work Environment Assessments; Fitness for Duty Assessments, Exit Interview process, etc.

5. Provides overall leadership to the Employee and Labor Relations and Employee Experience Center of Excellence.

6. Responsible for Title IX Program.  Conducts investigations and makes recommendations in conjunction with the Associate Program Director.  Conducts training in Title IX as requested.

7. Assists the EVP, CHRO with the strategic planning and development of the HR Division, as it relates to employee and business‐related services provided to all Guthrie entities and operations. 8. In the area of Employee Engagement, this leadership role is active in both the oversight of administration of the process and in the development and executing the strategic tactics to drive improvement.
