Special Events Manager

The role of the Special Events Manager leads the planning, execution, and fundraising for three (3) Parkinson Hero Walks and Boat Run/ Fun Run. This position manages organization-wide corporate sponsorships and partnerships for educational events such as Symposium, facilitator summit, virtual education series (VES), and more. In addition, they manage event websites, community fundraisers, and assist with annual gala, as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain internal database files, websites, spreadsheets, budget, etc.
  • Manage event logistics
  • Secure fundraising sponsorship/funding
  • Facilitate communication with Team Captains, walk participants, and committees
  • Prepare collateral, communication, incentives, social media, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Champion MPF Mission and Pillars

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, or related field
  • Two or more years of experience with background in events and development
  • Proficient computer skills: Microsoft Office applications, Adobe, and fundraising software
  • Effective verbal, written, active listening, and interpersonal communication skills; relationship builder
  • Detailed-oriented, organized, ability to multitask and manage multiple projects/events in a fast-paced environment
